We review the complete list of all the winners and finalists of the great night of awards of the North American Academy, did your favorites win?

The 93rd edition of the Oscars Awards has ended and, with it, it is time to review the winning films and appreciate the great surprises. With ‘ Nomadland ‘ as the big winner of the night after receiving the awards for Best Picture, Best Direction ( Chloé Zhao ), and Best Leading Actress ( Frances McDormand ), many lost their bets with the last award of the night, when Anthony Hopkins was made with the statuette for Best Leading Actor for his lofty role in ‘ The Father ‘, ahead of the favorite, the sadly late Chadwick Boseman.

The Oscars 2021 gala, held in the early morning of April 25, has announced this year’s winners and, as in the two previous ceremonies, there was no official presenter for the awards ceremony. As we saw in the last edition of the Golden Globes, the Oscars have offered a mixed gala format, with face-to-face appearances from their traditional Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and connections via video call.

One of the most applauded speeches has been that of Anthony Hopkins, winner of the Oscar for Best Actor for ‘The father’ and who, although he did not attend the ceremony, has shared his gratitude on his social networks paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 and that he was opting for the same award. But for emotional, the words of Thomas Vinterberg, winner of the statuette for Best Foreign Film for ‘Another Round’, and who was moved to remember his daughter Ida, who died a few days after starting filming in a traffic accident.

Although the gala has been weaker than on other occasions, mementos have not been lacking … But the prominence, undoubtedly, has been taken by Glenn Close when celebrating his eighth defeat by ‘perreando’ . Don’t miss out on a sense of humor!
