- The deal has been made possible by former Fox producers who have already worked together on ‘ Deadpool ‘.
- ‘ Free Guy ‘, Maximum Effort’s latest production, will premiere in August via Disney.
Maximum Effort , the production company founded by actor Ryan Reynolds and former Fox executive George Dewey , has signed a product development agreement with Paramount Pictures that currently spans the next three years.
” Ryan is 100% committed to entertaining audiences and works tirelessly to achieve this, ” says Emma Watts, president of Paramount Pictures. ” Your company has an appropriate name, and I am delighted to have Maximum Effort in Paramount’s plans .”

In 2018, encouraged by the successes of ‘ Deadpool ‘ (Tim Miller, 2016) and ‘ Deadpool 2 ‘ (David Leitch, 2018), Reynolds founded the production company with which he has already carried out ‘ Free Guy ‘ (Shawn Levy, 2021), of imminent theatrical release by Disney, and ‘ The Adam Project ‘ (Shawn Levy, 2021), which can be seen on Netflix.
