Lance Reddick will play the live-action role of villain Albert Wesker in Netflix’s upcoming Resident Evil series. That’s a different project from the animated series Infinite Darkness and the movie Welcome to Raccoon City, which is also already in the works.
In addition to casting Reddick, Netflix reported that it has added several other people to the cast. We don’t know who the rest of the cast will play yet. Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nunez have also signed up for the project.
The series has already received a synopsis from Netflix, but first we have the announcement of the streaming service itself for you:
In the first timeline of the series, we follow the two 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker. It moves to New Raccoon City, a real business city is forces it when it hit puberty. The more time they spend there, the more they learn that their dad has dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world.
The second timeline is set a decade into the future, when there are less than fifteen million people left. There are six billion monsters, humans and animals that have the T-Virus. Here, Jade, now thirty, tries to survive.

Netflix is warming us up to Resident Evil. Less than a month before the release, the streaming service has put the opening scene online. In this we see a lot of Jason and the Mad Dogs of the American army. The clip shows you just enough to get excited about it, but doesn’t reveal too much of the complete storyline.
Opening Minutes Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness
We get to see three minutes. In this, it becomes clear that the Mad Dogs are in a helicopter and another helicopter crashing in the distance. Jason and his team decide to disobey the orders and engage local Penamstan soldiers to rescue the survivors of the crash.
Six years later, Jason and Leon were investigating an attack on a top-secret White House file — later revealed to be linked to a biology lab in Shanghai. If the lights suddenly went out or a horde of zombies reveals. Meanwhile, in Penamstan, Claire Redfield discovers evidence of a terrifying experiment conducted during Penamstan’s civil war.
After all, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will premiere on Netflix at July 8. The series will feature the voices of Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello, who will reprise their roles as Leon and Claire from the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake. View the images here .

Netflix has revealed more information and footage of upcoming Netflix series based on the Resident Evil franchise.
First of all, the first three minutes of the CGI series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is online. The series will appear on Netflix on July 8 and revolves around Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, regulars within the game franchise. The CGI series is produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who previously worked on Devil May Cry. Several Resident Evil games, and other animated Resident Evil Series such as Resident Evil: Degenerate.
In addition to Infinite Darkness, Netflix is working on a live-action series set in the Resident Evil universe. Which will follow Billie and Jade Wesker in two different timelines. These are Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.
